Wind. Humidity. Jungle sounds. My road to the stage began in my hometown of Mombasa, Kenya where I began singing in Swahili with the local children's choir at 3 years old. After moving to "the dirty south", I fell in love with storytelling and made my stage debut in Alice in Wonderland! I was Card #2 and was subsequently hooked. Thought I'd be a surgeon. Then changed my mind.
Centenary College of Louisiana, Class of 2011. During my years at school, I was involved in a number of great projects from big musicals like Children of Eden to classics like Antigone to epic plays like Metamorphoses. In 2010, I received the MLP Best Supporting Actress Award for Lisa in A New Brain. Meanwhile, across the sidewalk, I helped produce and direct the Centenary Musical Theater Group and had the privilege of taking master classes in improv and acting with Larry Silverberg and Susan Messing.
I took my one-way to New York City, where I became involved in two television pilots, one webseries (DayDreaming) and an Off-Broadway play. I'm proud to be an active supporter and member of Stage Center LA.
I currently teach on entrepreneurship, wellness and creative freedom in New York City where I'm committed to helping other artists find their voice, pave their way and come out with sass and class!
